Airbag Wires?

    Hai!

    Basically I have no Airbag connector wires under my seats...

    On my other Saxo there's orange wires under both seats that connect to the seats, as I'm sure you all know...

    But in my VTR (99 MK1) there is no wires?

    Even under the Carpet there just isn't any? Not even a snipped one on the loom that runs past the seats? So obviously my airbag light is on all the time as I have no where to plug the seats into lol.

    Anyone know why I have no wires?

    I would say the previous owner has removed them due to a fault the airbag light is still on probably because the control module is still in the car(under the carpet in front of the centre console).

    That's the one. Remove it and the light will go off. And it's doing nothing as it is

    No. Sorry i thought you had got rid of the airbag. You will have to put up with the light then. Or take it to an electrician to fit a resistor to the loom to mimic the pre tensioners

    Oh right, no I haven't taken the airbag out At least I think it's still in there lol.

    I haven't looked. Anyways it had 205 seats in when I bought it, I've now put my Saxo seats in but noticed there's no Wires for the airbags under the seats lol.

    I can't understand why there's no sign of a snipped wire on the loom though? It must have been cut off somewhere? Lol I was going to find the wire and solder some more wire on and a connector to fix it.

    While I'm here, Is it legal to have no airebag then? Like if I changed the steering wheel to one without, is that legal? Pass MOT?

    It is legal to have no airbag at all. But illegal to have an airbag and it doesn't work. Same story with spare wheel etc

    Ohhh I'll get rid and change the wheel then, One more look for those wires and if not, I'll change the wheel and get rid of that box lol.
