axle play

   I have just noticed that the beam on my vtr has some play on passenger side .I have heard that its possible to tap and fit grease nipples and grease up the beam so wondered if anyone has done this successfully or am i looking at a new beam?

   if its already got play then its too late for grease!! new axle time i'm afraid

   I was afraid of that.I only put a replacement second hand beam on the car last year grrrrr

   How easy is it to replace the bearings in the arms as i might just do that if straightforward?

   99% of the time the stub pin that the bearing runs on will be shafted, not easy to get them out unless you happen to have a huge press lying around lol

   they arnt nice to do I did one the other day on 206 axle every thing was sized on it

   Oh well looks like another second hand axle jobbie as i intend to sell the car soon its not worth putting a recon one on.
