   Quick question, I am currently rebuilding a 1.4 saxo furio engine, it has everything including the ECU, i plan to put the engine into a different shell though (as the other one has damage) can i use the ECU, or do i need an unlocked/different one?

   You need the immobiliser block from behind the fuse box & key from the donor car
   
   Or get the ecu unlocked

   yep, that + the key and ecu all from the same car you need
