Alternative Exhausts

    Hi Folks,

Searched and searched but cant find what im looking for on here.

I need to change the centre section of the exhaust on a wee run about i have its a V plate 99 VTR.

Im not wanting a full stainless system more than happy to put a standard centre section on. The original was welded onto the cat and this has snapped so im looking for centre section/cat.

    My question is:

Can you fit a centre section from another saxo onto the 99 VTR. Im sure the newer 1.5D centre section doesnt have a middle silencer and the older has a full front to back with a centre silence so works out as a de-cat.

    Can anyone confirm?

if your car has the cat under the car then any exhaust from a saxo will fit but if its from a later vtr it will decat yours as they have the cat in the mani.

The diesel exhaust bore is tiny. Not what you want..

Ok thanks for the reply guys.

So if I put a newer VTR centre section on the car this will replace the section where the cat is on my car?

I do have a 02 plate VTR with a twin exit exhaust but I think its centre section joins are gone. Plus need to weld a bracket on the car if im to transfer it.

Thanks again for the responses Folks.
