not happy

   hi all i got my vtr about 2weeks ago and was very happy with it untill the exhaust came off at the cat .so i took it in 2 my garage that i use and left it with them 2 weld it back on and also fit a new drive shaft and anti roll bar link which where both fu?ked.Anyway i gets a phone call later on in the day sayin basically the car is fu?ked and that it shouldnt b on the road due 2 bad rust, wrong drive shaft 4 the car and also all the things i had took it in 2 hav done,The best thing about it is that it got a new mot the day b4 i got it so just want 2 know if any1 knows where i stand and what u would advise thanks rant over 4 now lol

   Speak to cab, who will probs tell you to contact vosa?

   i got it private i actually swapped it 4 my car. what is cab and also if i contact vosa what will they do apart from investigate the garage where it was done

   CAB is Citizens Advice Buero. Doubt they can do a lot though. To be fair you should have checked it prior to purchase. Bad situation to be in, I feel for ya mate. Can you get the welding done at a decent price and keep it maybe?

   IIRC MOT's are covered for 28 days, and corrosion issues are for 3 months after test is taken

   have a look at the rust see how bad it is might be able to get it welded. most saxos have load of rust anyway. and get whoever got it off to pay. or swap your car back if possible. what reg is it?

   i know but i thought it was a bit extreme jackin it up and removin wheels and stuff like that and also with it just goin through its test thought it would b ok .the garage i took it 2 said that it needed that much doin that it would b a fortune

   id get hold of Vosa! they will then investigate it, get it re mot'd and see what it fails on. if its something that could of happened at any time, like a ball joint going, then its hit and miss, if its a fuck off patch of welding thats obvioulsy been there a few months... naughty naughty tester.
   
   btw, dont weld cats...they melt easily, and if it cloggs up, bye bye engine too.

    the amount of stuff that garage found wrong with it seemed 2 b endless 2 start with was the rust which is ruffly a hole about 6 inch by 4inch next 2 the front jackin point ,the drive shaft was off a 1.5 diesel saxo and the bracket 4 it was missing so the vtr 1 wont fit ,1 of the exhaust brackets was missing and was routed wrong ,the anti roll bar link had sheard off,so basicly the cost 2 put it all right is a fair bit so im in a bit of a shit place . If i contact vosa and they invetigate who will pay 4 the re test and the work that needs doin

    Think you need to go round the person you swapped car with, with some of the boys and sort them out!
    hes cheated you out of your car with his fucked one, that he got a dodgy mot on to shift it!
    vosa will do jack no doubt.don't let them get away with it!

    lol already thought about that but dont think it will get my car sorted (alltho it would make me feel better lol) im waitin 4 a reply from the company that did the test and c what they hav 2 say
