    been told
    £600 labour for a vts conversion in my mk2 vtr

    anybody got any comparisons or suggestions ?

    Wow... Id be looking for a friend or someone who charges less.

    When I looked into it, it was about £550 / 600 for Parts and Labour... thats from a 1.1, So new driveshafts and a rear beam conversion. Although it was a while ago...

    plenty of people on here will do it for about £250, its really not that hard to do your self, i only had a basic tool set and didn't have an engine crane and only had one set of extra hands and we got it in in a weekend the only tricky part is getting the engine actually on to the mounts without a crane and then its easy its just connecting everything up simpless

    £600 is a lot for just labour.

    As said most people on here charge £250ish if you supply the parts.
    williamsvts has done a fair few he is based up in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

    yep 250 is approx what we'd charge if it was a straight conversion ie,you'd got all the parts and the loom was a direct plug in, if you provided the parts,we'd fit a cam belt and oil and filter while engine was out
