Mine had a plate tacked on that had 'Piper' on it. Has it not got that?

If its piper, it should be a piece of piss to fit!

VTR? should be straight on. Screw the lambda sensor in, has one before and one after the cat. Second one just needs a lambda sleeve.

Its stainless steel mate, just look for cracks. NDT the welds if you that worried. Should be spot on Wrap it, or leave it as is. Both have pros and cons

and i may make my own lambda sleeve but is it closed off like a blank or open at the end . . .

for exsample putting it in an empty bottle of coke or empty bottle of coke with bottom chopped off if you get me?

as i am a plumber i will be able to make one from 22mm pipe ect

Im not too clued up on DIY sleeves. How would you hold the copper on? Normally they are threaded. Im a plumber aswell, but I just bought one off ebay, £15.

Wrapping Pros: lower bay temps, gasses temps stay higher increasing the speed they travel
Cons: Cause premature corrosion, Can end up looking shite and dirty after a while

    so whats the cons mate

and is the sleeve like just a cutting of 22mm copper with a thread on but the other side got a solder cap end on or is it just open to the elements?
  12. #12
Sorry mate, pressed post by accident. To be honest I dont think a bit of 22mm copper would work. Be to big to start with.

I edited the post. Give it a shot anyways if you want. Will be for free. The second o2 sensor will make the engine management light come on when its not plugged in. If you DIY sleeve turns it off then its a win. Just tie wrap it out of the way
  15. #15
which one is o2 sensor blue or green?

and is it capped off or open at one end on lambda sleeves?

    Also need to know this.

ALSO if you're fitting a piper 4-1, you'll probably need to extend the first lambda sensors wires as they wont reach to the bottom
