I have £600 to spend and I am almost certain I will be keeping the car for another year or two so what would you spend the money on. My car is a mk2 1.1 forte in posi blue and I am fitting some black or white zcw bolt alloys at christmas, So far I have fitted a black bee sting aerial, heco wind deflectors, black angel eyes, tinted rear lights, A cheapo cone air filter, A badgeless black mesh grill, some vibe components up front and a fli 4 channel amp and a JBL sub, a ripspeed dv720 dvd player, also on the exterior I have got a magnex stainless steel back box and it is about 4" and looks to big. I most certainly want to change my exhaust and dont what else to get.
What should I spend my money on

#2I am thinking of getting a longlife exhaust with a straight through centre section and a 2" outwardly rolled tip, also lower it 40mm front and rear on standard shocks just aftermarket springs, I am also goin to get a carbon fibre ecu cover and paint the rocker cover white, then get some blue tailor made floor mats, and aero wipers on the front, and then may get some smoked jewels because I am not that impressed with my attempt at tinting the rear lights. Does anyone see any problems in this.

#3google kam racing they sell some good stuff there bud
-
#4Get a good interior such as GTi leather seats etc.
-
#5Lower it? On decent springs//dampers..
Bigger brakes such as 266mm?

If dont wanna go 4 stud get some compromotives .. -

#13Save your money towards a vtr/s mate.
Steve. -
#14iv got money saved for a vtr/s but I have £600 that I saved to throw at this car so just goin chuck it at this.
-
#15im thinking now of gettin a kam racing/supersprint race exhaust, raceland induction kit, spax saxo 1.1 springs lower 30mm, baker bm quickshift kit
-
#16Personally, I wouldnt throw money at a 1.1 for performance. Its just not worth it. Either do a conversion to the VTS engine, or save up and buy a VTS/R
-
#171.1 + £600 = Throwing it away. Can't see any real point in spending money on it tbh. Save it for when you get a VTR/S
-
#18Save it m8 you will wish u did when u get ur vtr/s
-
#19I added up 3 things i done to mine and its £400.. :/. Amazing how quick you can spend money on it!
-
#21is it a good idea to fix everything, get some alloys, lower it, and a smaller exhaust and thats it. (maybe a few little bits may cost £30)
it comes to max of £300 because im gettin the alloys as a gift. -
#22so far
£235 + travel costs - alloys
£95 - Angels
£55 - Jewels
£25 + travel costs -Grill nd mirror caps
£95 - backbox
£35 - lowering springs
and Willsy's charge for lowering it... so another £100 when i get it done,
Total of £540 there alone. Thats without little bits like led bulbs and paint etc -
#23Surely Paint cost you a fair bit?Quote:

#243 for 2 on dulux emulsion at homebase.

#25just spend the dosh on the looks, that way you can just swap them onto your VTR/S!
im sure most of the performance mods your on about are interchangeable with the 8 valve engines anyway??
