lowering, how low can i get without rubbing etc?

   ive got a 1.1 mk1 saxo expose and ive been looking at lowering her.
   
   i want her lowered but not too much that the tyres rub, and not rubbing when ive got people in the back.
   
   ive got some vtr wheels going on soon if that helps
   
   any ideas how low i can have it??

   i think you could go 50mm with out rubbing mate

   I've got a 60mm drop all round and even with 5 people in it doesn't scrub. This is on standard vtr wheels. When I put 15's on with 205/50/15 it scrubbed like fuck.

   im down 70mm with 15' wheels and doesnt scrub even with a full car. with yours being a flat arch, i hear theres a lip on the rear you need to grind/cut off. also what wheels have you got? the tyre size is always a main suspect to rubbing

   Wheel size and offset is more likely to make a difference than lowering itself.
   
   Some people have been almost on the bump stops with no rubbing with the right wheel offset etc, yet another can have completely wrong offset/fitment and have severe rubbing before theyve even thought about lowering the car

   I would say 50mm is the maximum i would lower it mate, so that way when you have got a car full of people, and any additional weight in the boot, it wont scrub...
   A VTS my mates got is lowered 60mm, has a twin sub box in the boot, it scrubs with 2 people in the back

   ive got vtr wheels going on. tyre size is 185/55/14

   totally useless post, mines down 60mm or more on the rear, with td1.2s on 195/45/15 mine never rubbed on the rear with 4 ppl in the BACK and a big ice install, as posted it totally depends on wheels offset and tyres used

    i attempted it myself but sadly couldnt get anywhere so had to pay for someone off here to sort it out
