Right i'm in a right predicament here so here goes...
Im in newcastle at the moment, my car has been in leeds getting the gearbox fixed after I tore the crown wheel off and getting a new clutch fitted.
My Brother is in leeds with my car, and drove it to school today because he was meant to be driving it up here for me tomorrow.
He's at school with it now and the car wont start so I think the battery is flat, and he mentioned something about the alarm going off even when he unlocked it with the fob.
I could get the AA out, but last time I did that with this problem all they did was jump start the car and say 'Its my job to get the car started and if it cuts out again now its your problem' ... which it did.
I have a feeling its the altenator not the battery as the battery light was flickering while I was driving it, but the AA guy tested the altenator and said it was charging fine. Still, I think its the altenator.
Last time this happened the battery was very flat and the car kept cutting out when I took my foot off the revs so I had to heel and toe back from newcastle, but my little brother has only had his licence for a month or so and I cant expect him to do that.
Does anybody know what it might be if its not the altenator? It must be something wrong with either the battery or the altenator...
