My car started making strange noises when braking, the only way I can think to describe it is like a door squeeking. It has just had new discs and pads at the front, but it made the noise before then too.
Any ideas?

Did they put copper grease on the brake pads?

Don't know if they did to be honest, but as I said the noise was there before the brakes were done.
Thanks for your reply.

yeh it'll be copper slip
it shouldve been put on the back of the pads at the very least to stop squeeling
its not dangerous just an inconvenience really

Take it back to where it got done mate, and they should do it for free as should be done when fitted, if they are a decent garage

Took it back to the garage today and they put on the copper grease (free of charge, of course!) and no problems since. Very happy.
