Universal Induction kit on a 1.1?

   Hi,
   
   Just want to know if its possible to fit a universal induction kit on a 1.1? my m8 put one on his hyundai getz, sounds immense Any1 got any pictures of one in a 1.1???

   universal means supposed to fit everything, but fits nothing without correct pipe work etc...

   depends what year your sax is..if its a mk1 1.1 then you cant...if its an
   mk2 sax you can cause you dont have a karbourator..then your sax is a
   full injection rather then a semi injection..

   yes u can i've got a 1.1i sx and this is my 2nd universal induction kit. simple as fook to put on, bout 5 mins or less

   yep you can because I did it to my mates, you just take the air box off and mount if upside down where the airbox was mounted, well thats how hers was anyway, didnt need any pipes or anything, just the filter

   Thats what I was thinking, putting it upside down. Does it work and sound alright?
   
   I got the old SPI version of the 1.1i. When I take the air box and the tubes out there wont be anything left lol.

   think thats the worst possible position..cause of the hot air..
   your performance will be teribble..
   it will be directly behind the engine..
   i suggest you find another way..

   buy a k&n filter for a 1.1 or a simota kit for a punto 1.2 8v...
   thats what i did..

    i agree with popsi. if your going to do it, do it properly in my opinion.
    
    heres my universal on my Mk2 1.1
    only reason i havent put hosed tubing on yet is because it is heat shielded already.

    i got the same problem( nearly) its that i got given a k&n filter of one of ma dads mates en he a mechanic but i dont thinks its for a mk1 1.1 saxo what effect would it have if i mounted it on to my engine, would it nacker it
