I have a white saxo x and just ordered a replacement grill to get rid of the old outdated one. but im stuck as to what spray to get? ive used sprays before to do my lids and side mirrors but i cant decide if its a good match.? looked on halfords and they have two types of white for a saxo? which are these:

    alpine white

    and polar white

which do you think would be a better match?

    cheers

Why don't you get the colour code mate? If you have the colour code you can get it mixed up to match.
You will never get a 100% match but the best way to get close is to get the colour code off the car, then go to a bodyshop/paint supplier and get them to mix it for you.
Halfords stuff isnt the best tbh. The bodyshop route is slightly more expensive but the match is alot better

Look at the sticky's in the styling section as it has a list of paint codes and there location

Got the exact same car mate, if I'm correct its alpine white...normally halfords have a little booklet with all the cars in and codes next the them telling you was colour for the car, that's where I looked and it said alpine white. Looks like you matched the mirrors pretty well, I'd use the same paint you used for them mate, but as said above for the closest match bodyshops or sprayers would be the best bet for a bit of extra cash

cool cheers guys how much do you recon then for the front grill to be sprayed? ive no stickers on my car doors thats what made it hard for me trying to get the colour right

Is it not on the drivers door behind the hinge?

Its usually on the strut top on the passenger side mate

If you are unsure what that is, open the bonnet and look at the back right hand side of the engine bay (yes right hand side, because you are looking at it from the front that makes it passenger side, just for anybody who was going to question it).
There should be a sprayed blue square with 4nuts on it and a white 4 digit code. Thats the paint code.

well heres the final result took a while but finally got it on used polar white in the end pretty good colour match although the grille is cleaner than the rest of the car

I did the same to my grille the other week, and now it's dirty like the rest of the car it's not noticeable. Just done the wings too (after a crash), so I think im gonna have to polish the whole car to try and liven up the rest of the paint. Otherwise, Polar White was a good match for mine.

IIRC Polar White was the only one used on saxos
