Driveshaft? Track rods?

    Hey!

Long time no speak, not sure if any of you remember but i used to own a white saxo vtr rep. however, that was long time ago.

I have now bought another saxo eastcoast as a project (pics up soon)

    Ok problems:

whenever i turn left or right i get a knocking noise - if i accelerate it seems to get louder.

any suggestions? and how much will a garage usually charge to do it? or is it worth doing myself?

    cheers

you may aswell fit the driveshafts when you fit your lowering springs.

once the strut is off the drive shafts littlery just pull out.

but gear box oil will come out so make sure you fill it up after again

    +1 to the box oil

Make sure you have 2litres of 75w80 box oil ready to put back in.
You wont need 2litre but thats usually what size it comes in lol.
You can put the old oil back in but for what it costs you might aswell change the oil too

ok gonna have a bash at the suspension tomorrow aswell as the driveshafts. Got the rear lights done tonight.

Thanks for the heads up on the gearbox oil.

@ fortechris: yeahdefinatley mate. the cars not much to look at, at the moment but a meet/cruise sound like fun. Deffo up for it.

How much am i looking to pay for both driveshafts? im gunna fit them myself i think.

also, When lowring the torsion baron the rear i have been told i will need torsion bar clamps? is tis true? any guides on how to do this?

    thanks for all help

ok not had time to fit the springs today.

i dont think my budget can compensate for driveshafts either at the moment (next week maybe)

anyway... i wanna get these springs on tomorrow and really think i will need a bit of help, is there a guide on here? also, will i need torsion bar clamps to lower the rear? and is there a guide for this also?

    many thanks
