What Cam?!

Im looking for advice on buying a cam kit for my 2003 vtr silvertop engine.
Im wanting to buy a cam kit for my car, its a daily driver really but with the odd track day and fast road use. Right now the engine is standard but with supersprint manifold (de-cat) powerflow exhaust and k&n 57i gen2 induction, with plans of bike TB's next year..
So could anyone reccomend what would be best and also if I can just get my ecu chipped and mapped as I dont want to go for standalone just yet.
    Thanks

You cannot beat the newman PH3 camshaft for price

It does seem good, but can you not buy a kit with everything I need in it ie, valve springs, pully, belt ect? Whats the rough power increase after a map with these?
    Any other reccomendations?

Ahrite okay, so should I need to change over the valve springs when I uprate my cam or will the standard ones be fine? Should I just need a pully and a belt? Wanting to uprate to a verneir pully anyway as Ive seen the ones you make for the 8v.

Can get a 16v engine for not much more than the cost of camming

not everyone wants a 16v though
As far as I know you do not need to change any other parts, just inspect the head to make sure nothing is worn and needs to be replaced. Change the cambelt and tensioners as a matter of course, then get going..

    cams
    head gasket
    cambelt kit
    cam sahft oil seal
    may aswell do water pump

to se the full benefits you'd need a remap

can get a 16v fitted for less then this costs

Thanks guys, as Kam said "Not everyone wants a 16v" I know in the long run its easier to get more power and all but Im just not sure about an engine swap, as from seeing and hearing so much from my mates 8v rallye its a really nice responsive engine, although his uses a 16v bottom end, catcam and GSXR tb's but produces good power and tourque, so Im happy with the 8v for now, I dont want to start on track with something that Im not comfortable with if you get me? So does anyone know of a cam by Catcam's that is good for my engine?
