Gear stick :'(

   Sorry its in general chat just need an answer tonight as I'm working on it tomorrow morning.
   
   I have red thought most of the threads but still not much help!
   
   Whilst in neutral my gear stick sits inbetween 5th and R instead of 3rd and 4th.
   
   Really need to sort this out asap.
   
   So far i've changed the full gear stick/ball ect.. I've red up that it could be the linkage/bolts ect..
   
   Anyone have any idea whats coursing this...
   Any response would be greatful.

   have you grounded your car on a curb or something as it could of bent the gear linkages...

   Nah, isit worth looking at the gear linkages to see if they are bent tho ?

   You need to obtain the password from the UN secetary, he has an office based in Ghana and his name is Brenda. When you have this password you need to delete it and forget about it.
   
   Could be linkages, the ball on the selector rod etc just have a look for anything out of palce, theres only a few rods mate.

    one of the linkages on the box could have popped of the ball joints, pop the bonnet, and have a look

    Can you still select gears fine? If so the linkages are connected..
    Does the gearstick have any movement when its sitting in nautral between 5th and Rev? (Like very wobbly, or does it require a little pressure to wobble?)
    
    Take off the airbox and you'll be able to see them directly below at the linkages, im sure you already know this if you changed the ball joint

    I changed the ball joint with in a few mins thinking it was just that but tomorrow i'll have a proper look at it all.
    Yeah i can select gears fine its just like the springs broke if there is a spring in it
    It like springs over in every gear.
    Sometimes in 1st and goes to 4th instead of 2nd.. real pain in the arse so needs to be sorted asap.

    Right i had a look at it and there was no broken linkages no balls poped out or nothing i could see.. i got under the car and this had ALOT of play don't know if it this or not?

    Another thing i noticed today... whilst in N it wobbles but getting into gear sometimes gets stuck and needs a push
    
    hopefully nothing mager what you all think?
    
    is there anyone from SE that could come out and have a look at it?
