I have just come to change my spark plugs on my vts, and the torque bolts that hold the coil pack down are completely round. How do I un do them??
Round torque bolts

#2Try a pair of mole grips mate or pliers if you can hold it tight enough and use plenty of WD40 to make it easier
-
#3If that fails, hammer a screwdriver/socket into it.
And if that fails again, drill them out -
#4Think it's going to be a drill out job. I can't get the mole grips on, and hammering a bigger torx socket on as not worked.

#5Just dont damage the coil pack..
I can do you a nice set of replacement bolts -
#6you could cut a slot in them then use ipact screwdrive they will cum out like a piece of piss or snap :d

#7just had the exact same problem mate.. i used a chisel to make a groove on the head of the bolt, then got a big flat headed screw driver, put lost if opressure on the screw and turn...Quote:I have just come to change my spark plugs on my vts, and the torque bolts that hold the coil pack down are completely round. #9How much for the new ones mate?
I'm going to cut the heads off with a dremel and undo the spike that's left with mole grips. But I need the new ones go back in!
