Manifold question. How to get the dipstick off?

   Putting the piper 4-1 on, and its just accured to me i have to thread the dipstick through it.
   
   But how do i do that? I cant seem to screw it off lol

   ditto, undo the bolt holding it to the engine block, then pul the dipstick and the stalk it sits in...hard, dont worry there nothing to break
