can the power steering pump seize?

The car in question has been stood about a month, when i drove it today the power steering didn't seem to be working
What can i do to see whats up ?

Yup if the car has stood a while the valve thingy in the pump sticks but a sharp tap with a hammer usually frees it off!

Check you're alternator charge rate. The pas pumps are powered straight off the alternator. That could be faulty

check your power steering fluid level is ok you might have a small leak and youve lost it since its been laid up
