Could someone confirm if the location of the crankshaft locking pin is the same on the 1.1 SOHC engine as the DOHC engine. I thought I had it in the right place but the crank moved.
The Haynes manual says "insert a 6mm diameter bolt or drill bit through the hole in the front left hand flange of the cylinder block"
The photo on page 2A.4 section 3 does not help me much.
I had a look at the tech feature that someone posted about DOHC engine and this is how it was described.
FLYWHEEL (the locking pin hole is at the front of the engine on the right side
Could someone please explain where the bloody thing is. Could it be described as a clock position as you look at the crankshaft through the wheel arch, eg 3 O'clock just so I could have a good idea where to start.
Many thanks for any help offered.
