just a quick one on respraying

   did my centre console etc a while back but am not happy with the colour and the finish on my first attempt anyway my question is, can i just key the surface or will i have to go through the layers or re prime.

   strip
   light sand
   2x coats primer
   2-3 coats top paint
   2 coats laquer
   
   job done

   Did you use plastic primer the first time around? if not, probably best to strip it back...

   yeah used plastic primer, i may just key something like the fuse box cover and see how it covers and comes out. is all plastic primer clear as the one iv'e got is and it makes it harder to see coverage on the dark plastic

   when you sprayed it did u wipe it down 1st because dust and grime obv wont help the finish especially with white

   yeah used pre paint, the white i mean for primer as the plastic primer i have is clear and its hard to see on dark plastic
