stuck brake lights ?

my brake lights seems to gone into a world of its own-
i only just changed the heater matrix so dash and everything had to come out for me to do this- but i was driving home today (first time driving since doing heater matrix) and noticed by the car behind how bright my lights are- pulled into a petrol station and noticed my brakes lights and 3rd brake is on the same if i was to brake, but constent- stays on evan if i was to turn my lights off- only time they turn of is when ignition is off :s and comes back on when ignition on, just wondered if theres a brake sensor or something uncliped or so ? seems to be stuck of some sort, just wondered if anyone had any ideas on what to check ?

just above the peddel there is a switch witch should be pushed down on the peddel and only open when the peddel is pushed ,well thats what the prob with mine was

When you took the dash off did you knock the wires off the brake light switch above the brake pedal they might be shorting out ?Or you might have damaged the switch so that the button on it is stuck in the on position maybe

both got same answers - will check the switch today will have a little fiddle may unclip it if i can and clip it back in, incase its stuck some where.

yeah was that sensor- it popped out abit - pushed it done and seems to be fine now- thanks
