    Hiya all
i have recently purchased another rear bumper for my saxo and just really need a step by step guide to rubbing the old paint work down to prep it for a re-spray. As want to cut some of the costs by doing half the job myself before i take it in to get professionally sprayed up.

If anyone could help advise me that would be great thanks

You don't need to rub all the paint of as it will be getting primer on it first, rub it a little to let the primer grip.. when dry rub primer a little to let basic coat grip...

I'm in th middle of a full car respray heres what it looks like atm getting prepared...

So what colour are you going for on your full re-spray you going for a different colour or the same. And if you dont mind me asking how much is it all costing you? as i am thinking of getting a full body re-spray for mine some point next year.

    Montreal blue.

    Paint cost me £150

    3 Ltr base coat
    3 Ltr lacquar
    Hardner
    Thinners
    Primer

    -

Doing it myself as I am a sprayer.

Taking it to the workshop around the 3rd of january...

For a bodykit spray would be quite abit because sprayers are tight cunts

I recently had a new vented bonnet, Rear morette lights and a Furious 2 spoiler fitted and sprayed to mine a few months back. It cost me £300 and that included paint, filling if needed it and anything else. Which i thought wasnt a bad price. But i want flicker paint soon and the guy i went to dont like using that sort of paint so he wont do it. So im in search of someone else who can do it all at a reasonable price hehe! < But thats going to be a mission and a half!
I have another full bodykit to stick on my car and like i said the bumper needs a re-spray as it red atm and i need it silver. I already have new Aggressor sideskirts ready to fit. Im trying to find a New Gladitator Front bumper. And i also need my new Morette Headlights sprayed up aswel.
Also got a Boot Flush panel! So got my work cut out for me! lol

Your so lucky that you know how to do spraying yourself, as it cuts your costs back loads

I know they do, incase you havent noticed I am active on the forum, therefore know about 'whitty' and 'funny' replies. You need to make it clear when you are talking about someones car if you are joking or not, can offend people. The slating of bodykits is a bandwagon everyone jumps on, yet half the people who do it like half of the 'kitted' cars they see. Fair enough as I said, bodykits aint your style, but when somebody is posting asking for help it isnt the time to start 'slating' their car.
So stop getting all bitchy and defensive on a forum.
