Clutch whirring

   My cars making a weird whirring noise. its not too loud but noticable over my exhaust.
   
   When i press the clutch pedal in the whirring noise goes...
   
   Any ideas?

   How much would it cost to fix it?
   
   Do you need a whole new clutch if the release bearing has gone?

   No - but after youve gone to the hassle of taking the gearbox off - most people fit a clutch kit at the same time.

   As above, it's the release bearing.
   
   You'd be daft not to change the clutch too imo.

   Nick, let me know if you need it done, I can fit you a new valeo clutch and bearing for £180 all inclusive. With receipt.
   
   And yes, it does sound like the bearing. I'm more than happy to have a listen though.

   Well today the noise has stopped.....
   but if it starts again and carrys on i'll definately come to you!
