Just sanded it and primered it, its drying now, any tips on how many coats of primer/paint and if it will be ok to lacquer it with the heat ?? I know the rocker cover dosent get too hot.

#2its fine to lacquar. primer is a base so doesn;t really matter on the amount long its all covered and smoothed off. paint again 3-4 coats or as many as u like or feel is right for perfect coverage. lacquar i tend to do 1-2 coats a day. smooth off then another 1-2 coats couple of days later. then i left rocker cover in airing cupboard to dry for 3 weeks. came out lovely and hasn;t had any problems once its on1 user thanked this post:

#5your better off taking your time mate, better to have a good job thats taken a while than turn it in to gash just by rushing it

#6try and let the last coat of paint dry overnight mate before you hit it with laquer, just to assure yourself its ready for the laquer.
