Car not starting because of battery

  1. #1
Earlier I decided to leave my radio and lights on while my brother was in the shop. Only for about 5 to 10 mins. Then my car wudnt start up because the battery was too flat. It was jump started and i drove round for a while and it seems fine now and I admit i hav hammered it a lot while the engine hasnt been on.

Do u think I should get a new one? Or just be more careful and see how this one goes? lol im rly not sure.

Car batteries are not designed to be fully discharged. Id be more concerned that it was drained in 5-10 minutes.. Coming up to winter especially, your probably gunna need a new one before long. Bosch from Halfords is a good buy with a 5 year warranty.

Yh thats wot i was thinking But could it be that i've used it quite heavily in the past? Again when the ignition hasn't been on. Or shudnt it take long to recharge?

Giving it a low 2 amp charge over night will no doubt help it but ive just replaced 2 batteries this last week, even after charging - they all seem to be giving up at the same time!
