   you risk damaging the front bumper when being towed, unless you actually cut a slot for it

   no you dont you just have to make sure you put the bracket facing up and you have no problems i been towed by mine numerous times on track days and never had a problem. the scrutineer on my last track day said they will not be allowed as of next year as there are not fia approved or something.
