Ok most of you have prob's seen these sort of threads before with people asking the same thing. But i really need help.
Im in two minds, iv got standard 15" VTS alloys on my car already, with standard arches.
    i want a alloy upgrade.
I kinda want to get 17" but i really need to know what do i need to do to make them fit! so they dont rub and that. < i know that you really do need to mod the arches but i really need more info on the whole thing.

17" on a saxo? To be honest mate they look ridiculous... I would never go bigger than 16, but always thing that the best thing to do it have a play around with the colour of your vts ones. 17" will make it look like a monster truck...

Take a look at the black saxo on this thread... It honestly looks Gash!

You will need to remove the arch liners & you will need spacers

When you remove the arch liners make sure you cover any gaps up to stop the crap getting through & corroding anything. And underseal any bare metal left to protect it

Lad above, 17s dont look gash on ALL saxo's. I have 17's and they look ok on mine. Depends how well they sit in the arch, what wheels they are, and what colour they are

...I think a lot of people will agree that 17" wheels are too big on a saxo.... of course it all depends on the look youre going for... If your going for the Ali G look then yeah, its a good idea

My 2nd option was to keep 15" and lower it about 60mm with new shocks.
I have me saxo vts progress report on here somewhere, Its on my home page anyways if you want to take alook. As everyone keeps saying to me with the kit of got on it atm it needs bigger wheels. But in all honesty i do like the wheels iv got on it now.

Ill have to look at the pic of the black saxo when i get home as im at work and for some reason it wont let me view pictures on this site :/

Im not saying people wont agree with you mate. Im just saying that not ALL saxos look gash with 17s on.
17s are shit for handling, but not terrible. Mine actually handles better than a few of my mates.
The OPs car has bodykit etc, so 17s will look fine on it again, most people hate kits but its not their car lol.

Fair do's If he has a bodykit... I agree if its going to look outrageous it may aswell have big wheels, just thing that the 'more is less' look is more attractive and up-to-date

I want to get WolfRace Matrix alloys - either 17" or 15" so really cant decide what would look better. So thats why i want to find out what you would need to do to fit on some 17"
I have a motormania near me and they are helpful with rolling the alloys to your car to see what looks good or not. So im hoping they will have some sets in the shop when i go up there at the weekend.

    Thanks for your help
