    hello there guys and gals.
right ill cut to the chase.
ive got a 2000 vts and when im driving in any gear it is absolutely fine but if i roll in gear then there is a rotary noise(the faster i roll whilst in gear the more reptetive the sound and the slower i roll the less etc.)
when i push the clutch down whilst in gear the noise dissapears but when release it comes back. this is in all gears.

can anyone hit the nail on the head. literally only just started happening about 2 mins ago. thought id turn to you lot for some help.

    cheers

Struggling to understand what you mean - do you mean the noise is there when you aren't accelerating?

a mechanic of mine just rang after viewing my problem on facebook saying it release bearing. would anyone else reckon that. the more opinions the better to be honest

i would say release bearing as well, seeing as when you push the clutch in it goes.

Yes could very well be this is what I was going to say if you said it was doing it on idle as well. Seems like its in the early stages atm so just get it done as soon as due to them deteriorating quite quickly especially if you drive in traffic quite a lot.

Cheers for the reply. So would it just be worth getting a new clutch? Cheers

can pick up the release bearing for between £15 an £30 but if i was to be able to source a clutch for around like 50 with the bearing what would you advise?

Get a full clutch kit would be stupid not to whilst the box is out and it saves a job in the near future
