bent wishbone??

   had a slight encounter with a curb the other night, took a tight corner in a small village at 20 and slipped on a wet drain and went sliding into a curb! so now my wheel isnt in the centre anymore, its more to the right. its the front passenger wheel thats had the slam and the gap between the wheel and the right side i can just about get two fingers in, on the drivers side i can get about 3 or 4.
   
   is this the wishbone or something else? ive been told it might be a subframe too? :s help!

   it'll be the wishbone more then likely, theres no front subframe so if a new wishbone doesn't sort it then it sounds like the chassis has bent, tracking will need checking as well

   ok thanks mate, the steerings also started shaking as if the balance needs doing, would this be to do with the wishbone beenbent and the wheel not been straight or will they need balancing?

   wheel balance weights have probably been knocked off or wheel has buckled

   I would have thought a Bent track rod? or even the track rod end?

   ok thanks! ill get the wishbone and tracking done then find out if the wheels still the same after cheers lads!

   I bent the arm on mine last year and the wheel moved back in the arch When i took the arm off and compared it to a good arm the damage was obvious as the ball joint had been pushed back about half an inch.

   i guarantee the wishbone will be bent, also a good chance the track rod end and track rod bar. the wishbone are designed to bend so they dont fuck the chassis rail on impact

   does that cost much? im taking it to my girlfriends step dad whos a mechanic and only charges me for the parts, he said i can get a wishbone brand new for 25 quid cos he gets big discounts

    id go with that mate, discounted part and free labour. cant complain!
