Sportex race tube MK2 VTR, legal?

   As title really, has anyone got one and is it road legal with the centre silencer out? I have a sportex backbox and would like to keep it all one brand if poss. the 4-2-1 manifold will b coming later obviously that won't be legal then but has anyone got the centre pipe / backbox for a MK2

   i have one and its pretty loud, police havent stopped me for it yet

   if its a de-cat tube it wont go through m.o.t.
   
   otherwise m.o.t. inspectors dont care about the car being loud unless their a miserable prat.
   
   my exhaust is pretty loud (enough to draw attention to the police )and police followed me the other day down a dual carriage way but just overtook in the end.
