car cutting out

    my vtr cuts out sometimes, only done it once or twice but its a bit random like the other day i was doing about 50mph and it just cut out :s and its letting out a lot of petrol fumes when it starts, really stinks! anyone know what this could be?

    also it cuts out a few times on a cold start and the revs will be really high with out the throttle pushed down :s
