engine stalling

   recently when i turn my engine on and rev the engine with the car out of gear it will rev then stall? some advise please.

   my mates vectra did this a couple of weeks ago,bearing in mind his car is a p reg,he give his throttle body a good cleaning and its not done it since,the flappy bit wasnt opening/closing properly.just a thought

   could be dodgy stepper motor, although thats just a guess as i dont even know what car you have.

   Yes it maybe that but my engine management light has also been comming on aswell so i dont know if its something to do with that.

   more than likly, if the lights on take it to citroen.

   I would take it to citroen but they will charge me a fortune!
