   I just bought a new wing and its arrived to discover that its a standard wing no holes for vtr trim, can i make it fit?

   Yup get some Tigerseal off ebay and bond it on.

   cheers would anyone else suggest anything such as drilling the holes?

   drill the holes. if u want id just use tigerseal better thn the shitty clips tbh.

   if you want to drill holes you need to get your VT arch (with ALL the clips on) put a blob of paint on each end of the clip, place it on the new wing (where it should be) and the paint will go onto the wing, then you drill holes where they paint blobs are, hope this helps
