No heat

Me and a couple of mates have just figured out what is wrong with my Saxo, Head Gasket has gone, so i'm putting a new engine in next week.
The problem i am having at the min is that my engine is heating up ok, but there is no warm air flowing into me what-so-ever.
No matter how long i drive it for and how hot my engine gets and how high i have my fans on the is no warm air at all.
Got water in the radiator, but that is flowing into my engine so i have to keep filling it up, but just lacking warm air, especially in this weather,
    any ideas??

there might be an air lock in the system and might have to bleed it out, or your heater matrix is fucked

    thermostat faulty ?

Thermostat faulty . Think this is wot's up with mine going change it a weekend. For the sake of a £8 for the part and antifreeze it may be worth trying to replace your thermostat first. Have u any other signs it's your head gasket?

yeah also how do you know its achually HG gone ?
should get it tested before- incase it turns out to be thermostat or an air lock- it saves changing the whole engine that way

Does your temp gauge go up and stay at temp and not sit at the bottom.

As above, are you sure the HG has gone?
I would get a compression test done to be sure

    Also, why a new engine?
If the HG has gone then why not simply replace it

I think he means replace the old engine with a new/other engine. Not a brand spanking new one

I've got the same problem with my car - I'm pretty sure it's because I've got a small leak in the bottom of my radiator and that's not only letting a bit of water out (about a quarter of a litre every few days) but letting air in too, thus creating air locks almost every day, making my heating cut out.
Because of this my car's also overheating every so often - though there's no heating coming out of the blowers.
I'm going to replace the radiator tomorrow and hope that'll solve the problems!

Are you sure your head gasket's gone?

Get a HG test done!, and bleed the system
