haynes manual

I'm pretty sure I've got one knocking about at me ma's house from when I owned a VTS in 2003, but I don't know if I'll be able to find it. Is there anything better out there (other than the guides on here!) that's worth my cash? Noticed a Max power one?! What's that all about?

Its a modifying one, Haynes is better

Cool, ordered a second hand one off amazon. Looking to get a car tool kit, all im looking to do is service it myself, oil change, plugs, filters etc....anyone recommend a decent but cheapish toolkit? Ta!

I know you said cheapish.. but I cant recommend Halfords Advanced Professional 150 piece Socket/Ratchet Set highly enough. Problems with any of it - you just take it back and exchange it because of the lifetime warranty (only 1 torx bit has ever broken with me). It is used daily, and is excellent quality stuff - worth every penny

Ive had a look on Amazon but I cant find any cheap Draper ones on there really, so the baby version of the above; Halfords 90 piece Socket Set looks good value for £60 (+ lifetime warranty).

ok cool, and that'll be enough for me to do anything along the lines of servicing the engine, changing brake pads and discs and maybe doing diy things like adding lower suspension and stuff? Sorry for all the questions but I'm an absolute newbie to car maintenance at the moment, give me a few months though....I'll of added a jet engine to the roof of the car 'n everythin'!

Fair play to you mate we all have to start somewhere,if your lowering the car you`ll need to add a coil spring compressor to your tool list.
