Important! : Ecu problems

   i got a 2001 vtr and bought a 1998 vts engine but the plugs were different so i got my mate to re-wire them and it all seems fine and all plug in but when i go to start the engine it turns over but there is no spark and no petrol going into the cylinders but when i bought the engine the man said that the ECU is unlocked but with this problem could this be due to the ECU not been unlocked

   Sounds like thats the fault, is the pump priming ok?
   
   Check the crank sensor and if that is plugged in ok its usually the ECU mate. I can sort it for you

   Surely if the ECU isnt unlocked the immobiliser key would come up?
