Anti-freeze

this may be a daft question, but do you just add the all ready mixed anti-freeze to your coolant? or do you have to drain the coolant, then put anti-freeze in?

    Just fire it straight in.

You might need to drain some of the old water/coolant out though as the system might already be full.

take the bottom hose of the rad left hand side

then remove tyre valve frm rear left hade pipe
then replace bottom hose then fill up

and then wen the water starts cummin out the tyre valve part usually pink if it ready mixed replace tyre valve

on the top of the rad right side there is a bleed valve turn it and it shud hiss for a bit

then take it for a few laps round the block keepin an eye o the temp

let it kool then replace any fluid needs toppin up

You can't mix differnet types of coolant.

Im assuming you mean the red '5 year' ready-mix stuff from Halfords?

If your saxo has blue coolant in now then you will need to drain the system inorder to use the ready-mix, or go buy some cheaper blue stuff from somewhere like Tesco.

Red 5 year extended life coolant and normal 2 year Blue uses different inhibitor additives which should not be mixed.

Red use nitrite additives where as Blue coolant is phosphate based.

Mixing these can do more harm than good..

Like he said it depends on what's already in your system.

Have a look and see if you can tell, if it looks blue/green then no you can't use that stuff, but if it's pink/orange then yes you can.
