C2 VTS engine conversion??

Engine just died in my vtr but love the car and dont really want to part with it.
Just come across a C2 vts engine and wondered if anyone knew if it would be possible to fit and if so, what ppl reckon would be involved, parts, time and money wise.

    Cheers

Yes, there is a guy on here with a c2 vts engine... If i remember correctly, they are restricted to 110bhp on the c2 ecu, but with a Saxo vts ecu, they run at 135bhp?

All i know is, went like shit off a shovel when i was sat in it!

im pretty sure the c2 vtscams restrict the power a jp4 engine running vts cams sees the best gains...

They're almost identical to the Saxo VTS engine, absolutely loads of people have them fitted now. Only (relevant) differences are, that they've got different (milder) cams, and bigger inlet valves. They do require a little bit of work to get to fit, you need to swap the inlet to a Saxo/106 one, and you need to drill the cambelt covers to fit the ECU side engine mount IIRC.

Oh, and C2 VTSs are 125bhp, not 110bhp as mentioned, that's the VTRs and GTs.

cheers for the guide, looks pretty involved as a diy job unless you know exactly what you're doing tho.
It says the guide doesnt cover vts engine change and I know its mentioned above that extra work is required......does anybody know the rough cost involved in fitting the engine if done by your average garage....or if they would even do it?

Next question would be, what would be involved if i wanted to try and fit a normal Y reg 2001 vtr engine into my 52 plate 2003 vtr? ECU change etc??
