    my LCD display came completely off when i was busy with the leds.
    how can i get it back on??? can you just soldere it back on???

    so i need to find a new dashboard print?? or do you guys have a other solution.

    you can solder wires in between the ribbon and PCB. It's a pain in the ass to solder a ribbon, you need a fine solder iron and solid soldering skills.

    You might be better off buying a 2nd hand unit mate as that looks a tricky job.good luck.

    well have in mind that youll need to buy a 2nd hand unit...and try and fix this one, if it goes tits up, you still need a 2nd hand one, if not then you save pennies lol...no loss from trying though

    Tape the ribbon on with heat proof tape and heat it up with a heat gun.

    I taped the ribbon on to the print and when you click the LCD right back in, there is a pink rubber that pushed the ribbon more to the print.

    Everyting works fine for about a week now. ill let it know when its failes .
