Frozen brakes?

   Just went to pop to the shops thought I should take the astra rather that the saxo as it's better in this weather. Went to drive off and it seems as if the hand brake has frozen on? Is this posible?

   Possible I suppose don`t know what to suggest other than boiling water on the back of the rear wheels.

   yes, the cable can freeze. The old trick is not to use the handbrake and leave the car in gear instead.

   definitely not, the thermal shock can break parts. Slightly warm water will suffice.
