Gearknob

    The guy who had the car before put an awful gearknob on so i have the other one from my old VTR MK2 style..

    The white plastic sleeve has snapped so i think i need a new one, is that the case or does it twist straight on to the metal shaft?!

    Its probably got a little allen grub screw holding it on the back - other than that it might just be pushed on.

    Its just the plastic push on one

    Just pull and twist upwards and see what happens

    I think your missing the point..

    I need to put it on not pull it off, i am normally good with this stuff but cannot remember?

    Oh right sorry.

    I've forgotten how the standard gearknob fits on, but if i remember for my mates, I made a spacer out of some old 1mm metal then pushed it on so it was tight.

    just wiggle it down and push it on, thats what i had to do!

    I pushed the other one down but i swear there was the white plastic thing?!

    Like the sleeve to help it fit

    if i remember correctly, mate had the same problem and did need the sleeve to help it, but from personal experiences with my own one, i didnt need a sleeve.
