Urgent help!

    Just gone to shut my door and the damn thing wont close. It shuts but it wont catch (it just swings back open) now i cant lock it!!!

    I've tried to fiddle with the catch but nothing is working :-(

    Any ideas? do i need to remove the door card?

    Have another fiddle with the door catch - if it sounds like its banging and not closing fully then you will need to prise the catch back open with a flat screwdriver so it can lock back onto the bar on the car.

    No it's not banging. The door catch is stuck in the open position and wont lock.

    If i move it down then the door bangs against the car, if i leave it up then the door closes but doesn't lock

    When you close the catch I take it that it doesnt lock in place? You will have to get the catch off and either replace it or take it apart and try find why its not locking in place

    Will it catch on the metal bit that is attached to the chassis/frame?

    Nevermind now i got it fixed. The was something jamming the lock mechanism on the inside.
    Took the door card off and removed the block. Now it closes and locks just fine.
