ignition key/door key

    Yo,

    Ok so I got my fob sorted which is ace, saves me fumbling about with keys for 5 minutes.

    My problem is THUS:

    I can obviously open the door with the fob. I have one key on the ring with the fob, the key starts the car but DOESN'T unlock the doors or, more importantly, the petrol cap.

    Ok so I have another key that opens the doors and the petrol cap but DOESN'T start the car.

    I'm wondering if I can either:

    a: set the ignition key to also open the doors and the petrol cap

    b: set the door key to start the car

    I came across this when I did a search http://www.programyourkeys.com/Citro...ogramming.html it was in a thread about programming the Fob though.

    Anyone out there know the answer? Just want to have one key that's capable of all those things, doors, petrol cap and ignition.

    So you basically have parts of 2 different lock sets on the car

    Ignition barrel and ignition key as 1
    Door & petrol lock and key as 2?

    Yup. I'd preferably like key 1 to also open door and petrol lock if you know how to do it?

    You will need a new lock set mate.

    Or you could go to your local locksmith and see if they can re-barell the insides of they locks.

    I would try scrappies first though. See how much for a FULL lockset & key

    Chances are with yours someone has snapped the key in ignition so swapped it
