i have some 205 gti 1.9 speedling alloy wheels on my saxo. running 195/50/15 tyres.
will i be ok with 40mm springs or will it scrub?

A 40mm drop with 50mm profile tyres should be fine mate, you might get minor rubbing if you have some fat mates in the back though!!!

stripped out at the back mate lol
not going to lower back till i get vtr/vts back axle on with discs and add some spax dampers. should be ok then.

Got that exact drop and tyre size and its fine. Never had it scrub even karting a load of luggage up north or chucking it around on track

my mate has some 60mm sprigs he says i can have.
is there a spacer i could use so i could drop it 60mm without it scraping?

I found on mine the boot on the steering rack got ripped off on full lock, not a problem just may be a mot fail

Probably about the same at the back, yer got uprated dampers. Running bilstien B8's front and back. Highly recomend them

when you ripped boot off on steering lock were you dropped 40 or 60mm mate?

I wouldnt worry about the boot on the rack, they're only about £4.
Give me a shout if you need it lowered though!

im looking also to put 205 gti alloys on my saxo but aint that sure if theyl fit strate on?wil they need spacers?
