   VTR / VTS have a intermediate bearing on the drivers side driveshaft to help with torque.
   
   + Its a nightmare finding the right tappered / non tappered end

   no, the VT shafts have an intermediate bearing on them and are 2 piece rather then single piece on a 1.1, also depends wether they have flat or tapered ends which depends on the year of the car, just buy the correct ones.

   Hi can anybody help me my car is '2000 saxo 1.1' is making a rattling noise from left front wheel when turnng hard is this bearing or drive shaft? Also to save me some money we have a 03 clio 1.2 in the garage will these parts interchange?????

   noise could be wishbone, drop links, top strut bearings, driveshaft, anything
