My drivers side dosnt open from outside & its comming up to m.o.t time, it used to catch sometimes but now you can just pull the handle free and dosnt do anything or no noises, waht could it be? i need to know what im looking for so i can buy a new bit or watever it is i need, ive had it off before & someones already been in there with a zip tie & tied the metal catch to someting but now its gone & just not opening at all. cheers.

#2Hi mate, im no pro or anything but it seems like the catch what the handle connects to has came off, have you tryed taking the handle out and looking at it? (im not sure if this is a big job as iv never done it tbh)
But it sounds like the handle it connects to has came of/broken etc

#4yeah, go on google and search it mate might come up as common fault?
im not sure on citroens but on the new renault twingo the door handles are kinda the same and there on a little latch, try doing it the same way on how to fix them.
Taxe door card off, get torch and hand into when the handle is, (from inside the door obv
) and have a look, or even try taking it out. best best to try mate then if this still dosent fix it, pop to garage

#5take off door card pal its a little metal rod that should be connected to door handle sounds like its slipped out it aint a big job but its fiddley and awkward even worse so in snow, good luck hope this helps
