Make fun if you must 'Jealous' But when i brought the car the Arches had been glued on so in the hot weather we had the glue obv melted and ping went the arch under the force
And i brought the Bonnet, its called style to make the preformance of the car better! Which it does as its a light weight fibre glass bonnet with vents to make the cold air intake better.

Unfortunetly, you may think so, but the mass quantity of bumper arches and sideskirts just make up that weight a little, also the drag you are causing with the new vents, and mouths in the bumper

sorry but your car isn't styled, it's a mass bodykit put together that was cool when I was 14 nearly 6 years ago, trends die, and die with a brand, ask anyone who dosent know you or your car, and ask them what they think of it, will get the near same reply, and it's up here with that brand even if it's just an aftermarket bumper

I'm not trying to be rude or assertive, I'm just saying what I think and say

Its your opinion but not fact! You must get facts right before judging. As you have never seen the car in person and only by pictures you can not judge. Sorry if you feel that way and yes trends do die - But its what i like. And i dont really care what other people think of my car
Keep dissing as it dont phase me.
As you dont know the car you cant make a big remark like that.
Fact reason why bodykits are going out of fashion is because they are easily broken, No one wants to spend the time with a bodykit as there is alot of work involved.
So you the sort of person who jumps on the band wagen and cant be botherd to deal with bodykits and go around dissing people that do have the time to style there cars.
My car isnt finished as i still got bodywork to do to it.
But again dont judge until you know the facts.

bwahahaha pure comedy, loved the jealous bit, and the use of clever words such as performance and style

Like i say that is your own exp with saxo's. My car dont rettle, it aint got nothing wrong with it. just needs a few bodywork touch ups.
I just take my time and make the effort with mine.
Its you opinion what you think of bodykits - but not everyone thinks that way.
So i just think its abit dis -respectful to go around saying someones car basicly looks shit just because they have styled it in some sort of way.
At the end of the day you wouldnt like it if someone kept dissing your car if you worked hard on it. So why do it to someone else.
Its really Pathetic in all honesty

The full bodykit on the car i didnt buy, it came with the car when i brought it.
The bonnet i got myself and had it fitted along with the spoiler.

Why would i need wind tunnel data when iv had drag races won against a subaru wrx sti, bmw, and countless of other cars. i think if there was lots of drag i wouldnt of been able to put up a fight against them. But thanks for your observation. Maybe a should do a wind tunnel data test just to prove a point
  49. #49
Are you for real? So your massive bodykit is reducing drag, thus making you faster than Imprezas, BMWs etc. The reason you're keeping up/beating them is not because of your bodykit, love.
I'd guarantee your car is producing more drag than a stock VTS.

And OP, don't get a RWD till after the winter, trust me.

    Stace..are you retarded?

Its called banter, each to their own but dont cry about it?!
Learn the proper rules of Sax-P..
  51. #51
Okay i was being nice the way i said it. But. IT DOES INCREASE DRAG. and those drivers must have been pissing around if you beat them. You're not exactly running an on the edge boost setup are you
  52. #52
what your bonnet does is adding a flow of air going from up to under the car, lifting it while your double spoiler pushes at the back and adds too much pressure on the suspension, thus upsetting the car's balance and making you lose front grip above 70 mph. To be honest, you don't need 9 holes on your bonnet, you only got 1 air filter .

When it comes to looks, you do have a point when you say each his own, I totally agree with this. And yes, you could use some tigerseal to prevent further body parts from falling off

huh! what! are you retarded? i think i know what banter is and im not crying im laughing

And maybe people should learn the proper way to respect each other. i was ok until someone wrongly judged and i just told a fact that they said my bonnet coursed alot more drag. It really dont. - And just stating that until they actrully see the car and are in the car they wont know. Me being the owner and driver of the car would know if it created more drag as iv driven the car with the standard bonnet on and the fibre glass vented bonnet on.

And yes i know that a bodykit on a car doesnt make you go any quicker. i was just stating the fact that with the bodykit/ bonnet/ spoiler it doesnt slow me down with the so called 'drag' the odd few are claiming it gives off.

With any of you driving the car you all wont know if it creates more drag or not. so dont claim that you know better when your not the one driving the car. Thats all im trying to get at.

i understand what your saying, but it really doesnt make it like that at all. Like i say you got to drive the car to understand what i mean.

A body kit will take up more surface area, giving it more wind resistance... and more drag..

im not just saying this, but when i had mine taken off i did feel the difference (however small it may have been)
  62. #62
LMAO! A vts can in now way shape or form beat a wrx sti. It's BOUGHT not BROUGHT, each to there own with styling but no way has the drag decreased with your bodykit.

Okay, saxo's are quite nippy little cars when standard and with the right amount of tunning, i.e turbo, boddies or supercharged you can make them pretty quick. but there is no way you can beat an sti or a bmw in a standard vts with lots of halfords goodies... My mum owns a sti i know how quick they are, and i know for a fact you wouldn't stand a chance against one

Yes. Classic STi's aren't that quick. A standard VTS won't be anywhere near, but it's possible to hassle one, without going even as far as bodies.
  74. #74
That bonnet definitely does create more drag.

Am I the only one with my head in my hands feeling like I need to cry?

Stace, simple physics will tell you that your combination of bonnet and spoiler are increasing drag. There is no way on this planet you can deny that. People don't need to drive a car to know if it has increased drag. You can tell to an extent just by looking at it.

Simple terms here. Wind/air pushing down on that spoiler is taking weight, pressure and grip off the front wheels. It'll reduce grip and traction. Same with the bonnet!

Simple physics more surface area=more drag, simple

combined with the wind coming through the bonnet and going under the car, lifting the front some more. The faster you get, the more front grip you lose

I had to bring this thread back to life as i knew how funny it was.

I actually got slated despite putting at the bottom that im not trying to be "abusive or assertive, im just saying what i think" its a point of view, not an argument.

TBH, if you stuck a plank of wood on the rear spoiler at 125 degree's towards the front, you will gain more downforce.

Im crying...with laughter at how stupid you sound..

Most ridiculous thing on sax-p tbh!
Did you create the atom too and the laws of Physics LOL
