Im having a problem with my throttle cable, it snapped last friday so i fitted another one and it fine but yesterday i noticed the pedal wasnt springing right up its nearly all the way to the floor...... what can this be? i cant notice the little spring broken with the black case round it. Anyone got an answer?? Thanks

there is like a little clip next to the throttle, tighten it.

Apperently if i twist that it will mess the idle up and be a nightmare to set up again. the cable is really slack at the engine end and the pedal is nearly to the floor , its as if the cable is sticking but its not. Its a 16v by the way.

On the engine end of your new throttle cable there should be a kinda screw thingy, just disconnect the cable from the throttle lever and move the screw bit down the cable a bit to tighten it up.

Other than that, there should be a black ribbed thing to the left of your inlet mani where the outer part of the cable ends, this ribbed bit should have a clip on it. If it doesnt, then stick a couple of cable ties around it to take up the slack.

I know i can tighten the cable so its not slack but the pedal is too low to the floor, thats the problem iv got.

And tightening the cable will raise the pedal. Last time i checked they all fell to the floor if the cables broke or too slack
