few problems with little brothers 1.1 saxo

    My little brother just started driving his 1.1 saxo and found few problems with it.

    1. the previous owner done a cheap way of cutting the original CD connection block off and bodge his own, iv re wired it up but 1 door speaker done seem to be working only the slightest of bit,

    2. passenger door is abit fiddley to shut, takes a few atempts till it shuts

    3. when you go to lock the doors from the passenger side it locks but then pops back up again. you go to lock it from passenger side and locks fine

    4.His airbag light keeps flashing then stays on, only airbag is sterring wheel one.

    5. heater only works on the last setting not 1 and 2

    6. he has fogs but dont even work lol

    Could anyone shed any light on these for him?

    4. mine used to do that the cable wasn't on right that plugs into the seat .

    Eh? lol. Re-read that lol Usually again this is an os lock mech

    4.His airbag light keeps flashing then stays on, only airbag is sterring wheel one. Make sure the pre-tensionners under the seats are plugged in. The orange wired plugs

    5. heater only works on the last setting not 1 and 2 Blower motor or resistor/rheostat

    6. he has fogs but dont even work lol
    Bulbs? wiring
    Could anyone shed any light on these for him?

    The blower resistor is stuffed why the blower works on one setting, my old vtr was like this and its apparently a dash out job so i left mine lol.

    when my airbag light came on it was because i went down a big pot hole. i fixed it by going down the same pot hole again

    6 - Bulbs? When I got mine I was told the lights didnt work, got bored, had a look and found there was no bulbs!!!

    Speaker is shot if it's quiet.

    Door has probably dropped.

    Check the lock mechanism, see if it's catching anywhere.

    Check the wiring for fogs, or as said if there's any bulbs in

    take door card off and see if the little popper thing that goes up and down when u lock and unlock the car is catching on anything ... my mate had that problem

    the speaker went on my old saxo and it turned out to be a split in the wire somewhere. i ended up just running a new wire to the door. give that a try, its cheaper than a new speaker .
